Big gardening day. It hasn’t been mentioned yet in this blog, but I’m big on gardening. I grow some stuff… I cultivate…

Here are some pics:

This plant is my pride and joy. It’s a two and a half year old Venezuelan Goats Weed Pepper Tree. Last year was an excellent year for peppers and already this year I have lots of new flowers blooming and a few peppers coming in. I have lot’s of seedlings from last years seeds, so I’ll be spreading this strain around.

Another plant I’m into this year: Wild Strawberry! This suckers just starting out, but I hope to really spread it out this year. The berrys this thing grows are way smaller than common straw berrys, but they have the most intense sweet flavour. They taste just like cotton candy!

As you can see in this pic, I’ve already got a flower starting. Instead of eating the first berry, I’ll sacrifice it! I’ll take it apart, and use the seeds to try and spread wild strawberry plants all throughout the box!

I’m excited to start growing wasabi this year. An actual wasabi plant! Most commercial wasabi is actually made from horseradish plant. The true wasbi plants leaves are actually quite weak. The most potent flavour is in the roots! This plant prefers shade to direct sunlight.

Pic #7: Green onion/Chives! With purple bulb like flower tops. I’ve never grown these before, a friend gave them to me… -but they are tasty!

I’ve been digging a hole. I’m putting in a nice, new, hillside, garden plot. Here is how it looked this morning, dug out with a couple of plywood sides put in.

~And after a few hours work today. Dug it out further and the whole things sided. Now I’m pretty much ready to get some nice dirt. :)
